Pink Eyeshadow: How to wear it like a BOSS!
Pink eyeshadow can create a lot of weird illusions. Making you look as if you have conjunctivitis is one of them. Nobody wants to look like they have pinkeye.
The secret to avoiding this is to not put pink eyeshadow directly next to your lower waterline, which is the part of your eye that gets inflamed when you’re ill. I would say that in general, pink eyeshadow should go on the upper eyelid only. (but for you dare devils who want to wear is on the lower lash line... go for it!)
If you have pink eyeshadow and have absolutely no idea how to wear it, heres a simple look for you to follow...
If you have pink eyeshadow and have absolutely no idea how to wear it, heres a simple look for you to follow...
This will look AMAZING on a night out, but daytime... not so much.
If you would like to see how to create this look, keep on reading!
Start off with a clean base, add an eyeshadow primer if you wish...
Using a pink eyeshadow and an angled makeup brush, map out your line. You want to follow the natural crease shape of the eye and wing out the sides...
Once you have created your guideline you can now start to build up the colour. Using the same angled brush, pull the colour from the line up towards your eyebrow, and blend. keep adding the colour until it as bold as you would like...
Once blended, its time to add your winged liner. For the liner i used a purple liquid eyeliner from MakeUpAcademy. But use whatever eyeliner you would prefer...
Once your eyeliner is nicely dry, add mascara. Now its time for the glitter!!
This glitter is from eBay, but use any silver holographic glitter you can get your hands on. Using a glitter adhesive (if you dont have glitter adhesive, a sticky lipgloss works just as well or eyelash glue for a more permanent application)
Dab the glitter to the inner corner of your eye and leave to set in place for about 30 seconds...
Last but not least, add some false lashes...
Voila!!
I hope you enjoyed this post! Go out and rock that pink eyeshadow!

Updated: How To Contour
Hi guys!! Today as requested, here is a VERY easy contouring tutorial for you.
If you’ve never tried contouring before, it’s actually a lot easier than you might think. You don’t have to go to the extreme and paint your entire face different shades, you can make it as simple as you’d like. Here’s my beginners guide to contouring…
I like to keep it simple,
First things first, start with a blank canvas...
I dont like to apply any primer/moisturiser on my face before hand because i have oily skin, but if you prefer to do so... go ahead!!
For your base, Apply your favourite foundation to the entire face. My current favourite is Loreal True Match foundation in Vanilla.
Using your bronzer of choice, (im currently using benefits Hoola bronzer) map out on the face where you would like to place your contour. The key points of the face are the cheekbones, temple, hairline, jawbone and the sides of the nose.
Once applied, use a damp sponge/makeup brush to blend in these crazy lines. For this step i used my Real Techniques Sponge with a few sprays of Mac Fix+. This helps to create a flawless finish...
Now you're nicely blended its time to go back in with a concealer and sharped up these lines. With a concealer, draw a line between the cheekbone and the jawbone, down the centre of the nose, the chin and the forehead. And once again, BLEND!
Once blended, go back in with your bronzer to intensify the contour further...
Highlight the SHITTTTT out of those cheekbones and there you have it!

Summer Sunset Eye Look
Hi everyone!
I am back with this new colorful eye tutorial, the mix of eye shadows I chose to use for this look reminds me of a beautiful summer sunset! It's been sooooooo long since I've written a blog post so I feel a bit rusty. (forgive me)
Today i spent the majority of my morning looking at holidays online, trying to cheer myself up during this cold gloomy weather here in the UK. I came across a stunning picture of a sunset on the beach, and decided to create an eye look using the lovely warm and summery colours. Here is what i created:
(please ignore how bad my eyebrows are!! they are in desperate need of a good plucking)

The products i used are:

Step 1:
Apply Brule eyeshadow ALL over the lid to create a perfectly smooth base.

Step 2:
Using a pencil brush, apply Coppering eyeshadow through the crease. Keep the line through the crease as neat as possible and try your best not to get any on your lid. Keep building up colour by packing the colour on the lid in a tapping motion. You want the colour to be as intense as possble!
Step 3:
Using a clean fluffy blending brush, buff out the edges until evenly blended. I blended the colour out into a subtle wing so that when my eyeliner was applied it all flowed nicely.
Step 4:
Use your pencil brush again, and the same Coppering eyeshadow, apply the colour along the outer part of the lower lash line. On the inner corner, do the same thing with the yellow wet and dry pigment. I used this dry for a subtle hint of yellow.

Apply a bold winged liner, however long/bold you would like it. I like to use a concealer along the bottom edge of the wing to neaten it up slightly.
Step 6:
Apply Vanilla pigment from mac on the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye to brighten the look.
Step 7:
Apply your favourite mascara, pop on the lashes, and there you have it.
Simple!!

Forgive me
First things first guys...
I am SO sorry that my blog updates have been SO incredibly slow these past couple of weeks. Ive been suffering from impetigo, (disgusting i know) all over my body, and its safe to say that makeup was the last thing i wanted to be putting on my skin.
Finally after about a month and a half of scabby face its decided to F*** off. So, all being well, I'll be back on form as of tomorrow.
I'll be doing a bright and bold makeup tutorial for you all. So keep an eye out!! Check out my instagram page for updates: @makeupbylucyw *cough* (give me a follow) *cough*
